It was their last hope at survival. It was their final fantasy and it was a huge success.
The game is rather simple compared to the later ones, and understandably so. Based heavily on fighting, little on talking, and having an average story with an odd twist that's near impossible to follow, Final Fantasy won the hearts of gamers everywhere. You start out with a party of four, and you keep that party for the rest of the game. You choose the classes of your four characters as well, which gives Final Fantasy a lot of replay value. |
